Local favorite Vishal Madan was seen in exceptional touch as he edged out former World Champion and last edition’s finalist, Sourav Kothari in the opening match of their respective campaigns here at the CCI Billiards Classic 2023.
Vishal displayed great fighting spirit as he manifested a break of 83 in reply to Sourav’s 85 on the previous visit, establishing that he is no pushover. Once he took the lead, Vishal was able to keep Sourav in check with tight safety, who was playing his first Billiards match at CCI in over five years.
In the matches since, Sourav Kothari has kept his hopes alive, beating Mehul Sutaria. Meanwhile, Vishal Madan conceded defeat to Rohan Jambusaria in his second tie, opening up the group for more excitement.
