Kumar, who impressed with his free-flowing and confident style, continued his fine touch with breaks of 70 and 58 in this clash.
However, despite those classy efforts, it was Vinay’s composure and deep understanding of the traditional billiards game that made the difference. Playing off -25, Vinay kept chipping away with steady visits, forcing Rishabh to chase for most of the match.
In the end, Vinay held firm to secure his place in the Top 16, clinching a tight yet well-deserved victory.
