Abhishek Joshi left spectators in awe as he dominated Nalin Patel in the opening round of the prestigious Chembur Gymkhana’s Mumbai Ladu Samrat – Om Agrawal Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2024.
Joshi, playing with a handicap of (-125), faced off against the seasoned veteran and former World No.3, Nalin Patel, who was contending with a steep handicap of (-400).
Despite both players struggling to find their rhythm, Joshi managed to seize control with an impactful break of 53, establishing a lead over his highly regarded opponent. While Patel attempted a resurgence with a commendable break of 68, it proved insufficient to derail Joshi’s momentum.
Reflecting on the match, Joshi remarked, “It was a challenging game with low scores, but I remained focused and ensured that every opportunity counted, even if it meant a modest 20-point break.”
The games are on a the heavy guns are just round the corner to make their appearance in this elite and special event.
