Rishabh Thakkar cements his dominance with a commanding 4-1 victory over Vishal Madan in the Senior Billiards final of the BSAM presents Malabar Hill Club State Ranking Tournament ‘24.
Displaying exceptional form, Thakkar faced little resistance from Madan, bagging the first two games with breaks of 51 and 78 to take a 2-1 lead. Madan’s only significant contribution came with breaks of 48 and an unfinished 61 in a brief resurgence.
Continuing his masterclass, Thakkar delivered a stunning 97 break in the fourth game before mispositioning himself on a baulkline cross attempt, still managing a 48 unfinished to lead 3-1. In the final frame, with Madan unable to regain his rhythm, Thakkar crafted a decisive 54 break, sealing his long-awaited No.1 ranking in style.
