Malabar Hill Club’s Raajeev Sharma overcame Bombay Gymkahana’s Vinay Swaminathan in one sided pre quarter final clash at the MG Open Break Billiards Tournament 2024.
Firing break of 72, 95 and 63, Sharma looked in his elements as he over shadowed Vinay with fine display of Billiards. Playing on a break of 56, Sharma’s consistency has been at its best throughout the league stage and the same was seen against Swaminathan.
Swaminathan who went on to beat former State Champion Arun Agrawal with breaks of 95 and 99 failed to gain momentum and an alert Sharma took advantage to outplay Vinay to find a place in the Top 8 clan of the Break Billiards Tournament.
Sharma was set to play Vishal Madan in the Top 8 match earlier this evening and unfortunately failed to continue with his winning momentum to finally make an exit from the MG Open Break Billiards Tournament 2024 with a respectable position.
While on the other table Seasoned Champion Devendra Joshi is battling it out with young Tathya Sachdev, stay tuned for the Semi Final Line up starting 11am tomorrow.
