Otter Club’s Selven Samuel registered a smooth victory in the opening day of the Bathija’s PJHG 6 Red Snooker Markers Tournament 2023.
Samuel opened his best of five tie against Garware Club House’s Sujit Shirke with a remarkable break of 50 which included a fluke on the second red. Converting this run of the ball to a well crafted 50 pointer visit, Selven showed his intent of his participation.
Surging to a 2-0 lead, Shirke struck back on a close 3rd black ball game victory only to see himself calling it a day with Selven winning the fourth game to end the match 3-1.
Selven now gears up to meet fancied Manoj Kasare in his round 2 encounter as Manoj survived a scare with a 3-2 round 1 victory.
