Karnataka based R Santosh shocked State ranked 3 Shabaz Khan with a 3-0 clean sweep on the day 7 of the CCI Snooker Classic 2023 conducted under the aegis of Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra
Santosh who took the first frame comfortably, had to struggle his was to snatch the second frame with a yellow to black clearance to hold Khan’s resurgence.
Trailing 45 points in the third frame, Santosh came back with a 20+ break to keep the game ticking with another yellow to black requirement and crafted his way to the pink to force a black ball safety.
With an exchange of one safety round, Santosh who shares his practice time with World Champ Pankaj Advani, potted a long black into the green pocket after Khans safety failure and ended the match with a score line of 3-0.
Another upset in the tournament and this is the beauty of the sport!!
