ECC’s Shubham Randhe battled through a tense encounter to pull off a hard-fought victory over seasoned campaigner Amit Sapru at the Vijay Ved Memorial Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2025.
The match began with both players struggling to find their rhythm as scores ran neck and neck. But soon, National Top-32 cueist Amit Sapru (-275) found his groove, firing consecutive breaks in the 40s and 30s to build a commanding lead.
Unfazed, Randhe — defending a target of 275 — held his nerve, replying steadily to Sapru’s scoring visits and eventually clinching the match by 33 points.
Showcasing refined technique and growing maturity, Randhe continues his impressive run as he books a spot in Round 2.
