Pune’s Abhijeet Ranade kicked off his campaign in the CCI Snooker Classic 2024 facing a daunting 0-2 deficit against the talented youngster, Aditya Shandilya. The junior sensation seemed to be in control in the first two frames, leaving Ranade struggling to find his rhythm.
However, after a scrappy third frame, Ranade regained his composure and unleashed his true potential, clawing his way back into the match to make it 1-2. With the momentum shifting in his favor, Ranade adopted a more aggressive approach, countering Shandilya’s game effectively and leveling the score at 2 all.
The resurgence of Ranade seemed to unsettle Shandilya, who faltered under the pressure, allowing the former state-ranked player to capitalize on the opportunity. In a thrilling battle of nerves, Ranade emerged victorious with a hard-fought 3-2 win, advancing to Round 3 of the prestigious tournament.
