CRMI’s Pratik Khatri escaped a scare against Birju Kanani in the Matunga Gymkhana presents MG 6 Red Open Snooker Tournament Round 1.
Taking off with a 2 frame lead in the best of 5 tie, Khatri found himself in trouble as Kanani fought back to make it 2-1 and then 2 all in a very roller coaster kind of frame.
Khatri trailing by 26, came back in the game by giving 3 snookers on the blue, pink and black in the 4th frame only to put his efforts in vain to miss an easy pink to allow a dreading decider.
However, Pratik showed composure as he cashed on every opportunity scoring point by point to win the decisive frame and the match 3-2.
