Parikh, the scoring machine!!

Parikh, the scoring machine!!
In an exciting match between student and coach at the Chembur Gymkhana presents Mumbai Ladu Samrat – Om Agrawal Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2024, Siddharth Parikh faced a tough test from his own student, Rohan Pai, in a closely contested Top 16 clash.
Siddharth, a former World Billiard Sport Champion, was racing to his target of 750 points against Pai’s 220. Demonstrating his mastery, Parikh punished every mistake with high-scoring visits around the 100 mark, including two centuries, three breaks in the 90s, and an 80, swiftly advancing in the match against his young protégé.
With Pai needing just 22 points to claim victory, Parikh delivered a decisive 114-point break, bringing himself within 20 points of his target and eventually needing only 13 points to snatch victory and secure a place in the Top 8.
Known for his substantial breaks, Parikh displayed a different style of play, making his game more lethal with each visit, often causing 100-point damage.
“Today was a different game, and I couldn’t convert those 100s to 200s and 300s as I usually do in the longer format. But with such consistent scoring, I racked up nearly 600 points in 6 visits, which eased the pressure off me. I’m sure Rohan will learn from this experience. He’s playing a fabulous game, and it’s great to see a young guy excelling in the three-ball game,” remarked a relieved Parikh.
Stay tuned as the Top 8 gear up for the battle to ultimate glory at the Chembur Gymkhana’s Mumbai Ladu Samrat – Om Agrawal Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2024
