Trailing 0-2, Kalyaniwala, renowned for his patience and calm demeanor, looked to be on the brink of defeat but clawed his way back to level the scores at 2-2.
The turning point came in the fourth frame, with Kalyaniwala leading by 37 points on the final red. Panchal, the potting star of MHC, responded brilliantly with a snooker that forced a foul from Marzdi.
