Mahesh Jagdale Registers a Thrilling 3-2 Victory Over Umesh Prajapati
Trailing 1-2, former Billiards State Champion Mahesh Jagdale showcased his snooker prowess with a crisp 57 break, marking the first half-century break of the CCI Snooker Classic 2025 and leveling the scores 2-0
The final frame turned into a tense cat-and-mouse chase. Leading by 18 points on the final colours, Umesh Prajapati appeared to have the upper hand but undercut a straight blue into the center pocket, missing his golden opportunity to close out the match.
Sensing his chance, Jagdale methodically potted ball by ball, eventually leveling the scores at 63-63 and forcing the tournament’s first re-spotted black. A poorly executed safety shot by Prajapati left the black precariously over the pocket, and Jagdale wasted no time in sinking it, sealing an intense 3-2 victory.
A thrilling contest that had everything—skill, pressure, and drama—Jagdale’s resilience proved decisive, ensuring his march forward in the tournament.
