Starting with a two-frame deficit, the left-handed cueist found his rhythm in the third frame, crafting a precise 33 break to kickstart his resurgence. What followed was a high-intensity battle, with both players refusing to back down, delivering a spectacle for the spectators.
The shootout format, known for its unforgiving nature, punishes unforced errors—offering opponents a ball in hand and the freedom to place the cue ball anywhere on the table. Unfortunately for Shailesh, a series of errors proved costly, opening the door for Kersi to seize control and clinch victory.
With this win, Kersi advances to Round 2, where he will take on the lightning-fast Juzer Master.
