Dhvaj Haria showcased his mastery at the CCI Billiards Classic 2024, dominating Group G with a brilliant victory over Peter Sheehan in a thrilling final match.
Haria wasted no time, swiftly notching up a staggering 294 break in his first turn, only to be halted at the Baulkline. Despite Sheehan’s attempts, he struggled to match Haria’s prowess, ending with an 85 and facing a hefty penalty of 199 points, giving Haria a commanding lead of 500 points after just two visits.
Yet, Sheehan fought back valiantly, narrowing the gap with a precise 296 break. Undeterred, Haria responded with a composed 99 break, maintaining his lead. Despite Sheehan’s efforts with subsequent breaks of 85, 72, and 52, Haria’s momentum proved insurmountable.
Haria clinched victory, securing the top spot in his group and earning the No. 4 seed overall. His next challenge awaits in a Top 16 clash against last edition’s finalist, Rob Hall, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated rematch from the 2023 semi-finals.
