Radio club’s Chinmay Gawde advances to the top 16 of Bathija’s PJHG 6 Red Snooker Markers Tournament 2023.
Impressing all with a 47 break and a 3-0 victory in his first round encounter, Gawde was stretched to the decider by Dadar club’s Mangesh Gaonkar in round 2. Trailing 0-2 Gawde used all his experience to snatch a pressure bound 3rd frame to keep his hopes alive.
Finding himself back in momentum Chinmay cashed in on every opportunity to win the 4th frame and enter into a decider. Both the cueist were seen feeling the pressure of the final frame. However, Chinmay got the better of Mangesh Gaonkar by maintaining a crucial lead throughout the frame to end the match in his favour 3-2.
