With the 15-second shot clock keeping players on their toes, Radio Club’s Chinmay Gawde delivered a blistering 38 break on his way to a commanding 4-0 victory over Shyam Dameja in the MG 6 Red Open Snooker Shootout.
Facing little resistance, a confident Chinmay thrived in the fast-paced format and zippy tables at Matunga Gymkhana, making the most of every opportunity.
The match could have witnessed the event’s first 50+ break, but an unfortunate miss on a straightforward pink at 38 denied him the milestone. Had he sunk it, the black was perfectly set for a 51 clearance.
Nonetheless, with 38 now the highest break so far and the tournament still in Round 1, a half-century break seems inevitable in this T20-style Snooker shootout!
