The evening turned into a nostalgic ride as the tournament moved towards its completion with Rajesh Mayavanshi emerging as the champion and the gathering becoming a special occasion for all.
The evening transitioned 20 years back in time as the then regulars of the billiards department came together to grace the occasion.
Guest of Honour Shri Mohan Belani, Suresh Bathija, Shri Subhash Agrawal, Chandresh Shah, and a few old timers of the snooker fraternity were seen together after decades and it couldn’t get better than this.
The event became a reality only after Shri Suresh Bathija’s wholesome contribution as the title sponsor which floored the tournament in the grand Billiards hall of Hindu Gymkhana.

Special mention to Shri. Chandresh Shah who sponsored the prize for the first round losers to see to it that every participant was a winner and goes back home with something.
However, the ship of this tournament needed a captain for its smooth sailing and Dhruv Sitwala, Markers’ favorite and their die hard well wisher, single handedly made it possible along with the support of Hindu gymkhana by conducting and organising the tournament to make it match professional standards.
“These guys have worked hard tirelessly for years and I feel this is our payback time. It was a must to give our friends a larger than life experience in this tournament and it was pure happiness to see them play and enjoy the game.” exclaimed
Dhruv.
It was a memorable sight as the veterans came back together and relived their share of old memories, cherishing the moments spent in the billiard room. The evening marked the legacy that Hindu Gymkhana Billiard Room carries and was concluded by words of gratitude coming from Shri Devendra Joshi.
This event is close to our hearts and sportal has been connected to this event in some way or the other since it’s inception at Islam Gymkhana by Mr. Iqbal Khakhu.
Our support to the unsung heroes!
