In a nail-biting encounter against Manjit Singh, PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s task force member Ankush Baikar scraped through with a thrilling 17-point win to secure his spot in Round 2 of the Vijay Ved Memorial Open Handicap Tournament 2025.
Playing level with a seasoned cueist, Baikar found himself in a tense battle as both players exchanged visits in a fierce race to 200. With scores neck and neck through most of the game, a crucial visit of around 10 points proved to be the turning moment, helping Ankush edge past to claim victory.
With this win, Ankush joins his fellow task force mates Amit, Sanjay, and Milind, keeping the Hindu Gymkhana flag flying high at the tournament.
