P J Hindu Gymkhana’s Aditya Shandliya entered into a marathon of a match with experienced Sunil Jain on Day 5 of CCI Snooker Classic 2023. Stretched to an 8 hour battle which took two intervals, had these cueist test their skills and patience to their optimum.
Trailing 1-2, the Junior Shandilya constructed a timely 40+ break to force a decider with Jain. With either Cueists refusing to give up, the final frame saw exchanges of pots, misses and safety but an early lead of 21 gave Aditya the cushion to wrap the match in his favor and set course to play state performer Shoaib Pathan.
The environment here at Brabourne Standium is getting hotter in the cool weather of January.
