In his opening match at the BSAM Presents Malabar Hill Club State Championship ‘24, Hasan Badami delivered a stunning break of 92 — the highest at the venue so far — to secure a 4-1 victory over the talented Aditya Shandilya.

On His Mindset:
“After a setback in the State Ranking, I came to Malabar Hill Club with a recalibrated approach. This time, I embraced a more aggressive style, stepping out of my usual cautious gameplay.”
On His Opponent:
“Aditya’s been playing consistently well, so I knew I had to outplay him by potting aggressively and breaking away from my comfort zone.”
On the 92 Break:
“With the pink and black covered, I had to creatively craft this break. The tables here are in perfect condition, making the game feel effortless. Though I couldn’t land on the last red, I tried a calculated shot off the cushion. It headed toward the pocket but just missed, which was a bit heartbreaking. Hitting a century would have been incredible.”
