Known more for his snooker prowess, MCF’s Avenish Shah proved his all-round cue skills as he edged past Marzban Amroliwalla at the Vijay Ved Memorial Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2025.
Playing off a revised handicap of (-80), Shah’s 50-point advantage worked to perfection as he relied on his sharp potting game to keep Marzban at bay. Despite both cueists managing just a couple of 30+ breaks, the encounter stayed on a knife’s edge — with Shah eventually sealing victory by just 13 points.
He now faces a formidable test in the Top 16 against former State Champion Vishal Madan of Chembur Gymkhana. Can Shah’s precision overcome Madan’s scoring power? 👀
Stay tuned for more from the baize! 🎱
