PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s very own Sanjay Joshi, fondly known as CC, handed Shubhojit Roy a shocking early exit at the Vijay Ved Memorial Open Handicap Billiards Tournament 2025.
Up against the vastly experienced Roy, Joshi faced a daunting challenge — requiring 175 points to Roy’s 250 owing to the handicap difference. What followed was a gripping exchange of skill and composure, with the scores running neck and neck for much of the match.
While Roy struggled to find his rhythm in potting, Sanjay’s consistent scoring visits and crisp billiards play turned the tide in his favour. In the end, it was Joshi who triumphed with a commanding 200–108 victory.
