A Marathon Start for Neeta Sanghvi
CCI’s star cueist Neeta Sanghvi began her CCI Snooker Classic 2025 campaign with a gritty 3-1 victory over Umesh Marathe in what turned out to be the longest match of the day.
With the score tied at one frame each, Sanghvi showcased her experience and tactical prowess, switching gears to dominate the final two frames. After momentarily losing momentum in the second frame, she regained control with an increased potting percentage, sealing a well-earned win.
A stalwart of Indian women’s snooker for over 25 years, Sanghvi has ranked among the Top 4 in India multiple times and has represented the country at the 2010 Asian Games in Pool. Balancing multiple roles as a homemaker, businesswoman, and top cueist, she has cemented her place as one of the most respected figures in the Indian snooker fraternity.
With this win, she advances to Round 2, where she will face the winner of Raj Charri vs. Bharat Choudhary.
