Hemadis steady play halts Kasare in Round 1

Representing P. J. Hindu Gymkhana, the seasoned campaigner Chetan Hemadi emerged from his hiatus to immerse himself in the adrenaline-fueled atmosphere of the MG Open Break Billiards Tournament 2024.

Initiating his campaign with a break of 16, Hemadi, a stalwart of the old school billiards, proceeded to elegantly pocket a steady 23 and a commanding 30, catapulting himself into a comfortable lead that effectively subdued the efforts of his opponent, Kasare, as the match approached its conclusion.

Hemadi’s extensive repertoire of experience, honed through encounters with titans of the sport such as Subhash Agrawal, a revered luminary in the global billiards fraternity, was evident as he effortlessly executed a series of exquisite shots, navigating the table with finesse and classical billiards.

Despite valiant efforts by Manoj, renowned for his reputation in billiards, to mount a comeback, he struggled to gain momentum, ultimately bowing out of the tournament with grace, acknowledging Hemadi’s mastery of the game.

The MG Open Break Billiards Tournament 2024 is now having the qualifying matches all lined up to get the 16 qualifiers to enter the main draw ie the Stage 2 to meet the best and experience the best.
