Eastern Railways Ace player Shoaib Khan switched to top gears to escape elimination against Maharashtra’s Raajeev Sharma.
Trailing 3-2, a struggling Khan finally found his rhythm to craft a timely break of 52 to keep his chances alive against his in form challenger.
Raajeev who was seen hitting a 66 and couple of 40s in his earlier rounds was halted with another break of the 50 in the decider which earned Shoaib the frame and the match in the CCI Snooker Classic 2023.
Shoaib now meets India Top 16 Monu Choudhary in the Round of 64 and hopes to play in his regained rhythm.
