With a remarkable break of 352 against a formidable opponent, Shekhar Surve, the national champion gave a stunning display of break-building prowess, showcasing his top-tier craftsmanship and effectively dismantling his opponent’s defenses.
The 352 run ended unexpectedly with a red pot in the center, and the disappointment was visible on his face as he emerged from his focused state, giving Shekhar Surve an opportunity at the table.
However, the ONGC cueist quickly regained control, encountering minimal resistance from the Western Railway veteran. He went on to deliver a couple of 90-plus breaks on his way, sealing a decisive victory and securing his spot in the Top 4, where he will face challenger Rishabh Thakkar.
